The new qualifying window has just opened.

Anyone with 10 scores in 8-ball or 10 scores in 9-ball can

play on a board to qualify for the spring regional tournament.

The APA National Singles Championships

Do you meet people and have fun with your team on league night, but want an opportunity to compete on your own?

If you have at least 10 league match scores in a given format (8ball or 9-ball), then you can play on your own to compete for a chance to go to national competition in Las Vegas!  The Singles Board program allows you to play in a single-elimination handicapped bracket of 8 players.  The winner will advance automatically to the regional tournament (there are two regionals per year) where you compete only against people in your own skill level tier

If you win your tier at the regional level, then you will be entered into the National Singles Championship at The Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas!  Wanna play on a board?  Or even run a board yourself to qualify someone from your team?  Just contact the league office or your division rep for more info about playing on a board.

Congratulations to 26 members of our local league who qualified for the October 2010
regional tournament:

Christy Ambler, Jenny Burrell, Scott Burrell, Dan Buskirk, Jim Corrigan,
Rodney Crisco, Jason Gilliam, Linda Helms, Lee Hines,

Matthew Stewart, Peter Tannenbaum, Mike Thomas, Scotty Thomas,

Did you know that you can run a singles board for your team?  Doing so guarantees that one member of your team will compete in the singles regional tournament, the winner of which will go to Las Vegas to compete nationally!  Ask the league office or your division rep how to run a board for your team.
